This year, our charity partner is Mind, the UK’s leading mental health charity, providing advice and support to those experiencing a mental health problem. Statistically, one in four people will experience a mental health problem in any given year, so Mind offers a vital service.
Jonathan Stuart, Corporate Account Manager at Mind, said: “We are delighted Mind is Moore Kingston Smith’s charity of the year. The partnership will help us to reach a point where anyone with a mental health problem feels able to ask for, and access, the help they need. The money will help fund our work and campaigning efforts to ensure everyone who has a mental health problem gets support and respect.”
Our activities to raise money for Mind include running, walking, mountain trekking, cycling, skydiving and abseiling. Those preferring to keep their feet on the ground will be taking part in bake sales, dress-down days, spring cleaning, sweep stakes and volunteering opportunities.
Mind Media Awards
On 30 November 2018, Mind celebrated the very best portrayals of mental health in the media at the Virgin Money Giving Mind Media Awards, ending with Clarke Carlisle’s moving, heartfelt and utterly vital speech. You can rewatch the entire ceremony via their Facebook channel.
