Attracting and retaining talent in the media sector

Start date: June 29, 2016 5:30pm registration

The attraction and retention of talent continues to be at the heart of every media agency.

As agencies respond to digital development by choosing either to diversify their offering or to sharpen their focus on one key specialism, pressure to secure the best from a seemingly contracting pool of talent has never been so high. With the exposure of certain skill gaps leading to increased competitiveness for talent, the question is: how can you set yourself apart as an employer?

In this seminar, Ian Graham will provide an overview of the different financial staff incentives that can be utilised, reviewing both their commerciality and their measurability. Main focuses will include:

  • Segmentation by employee
  • Structured bonuses
  • Equity incentives
  • Share incentives

Meanwhile, Mike Hayes will discuss the tax considerations connected to these schemes, also providing details of tax-efficient structuring that effectively offset corporation and income taxes.

Ian and Mike will be joined by Dinah Regan of Kingston Smith HR Consultancy, who will analyse the results of our recent employee benefits survey, whilst also looking at:

  • The benefits most effective in motivating and engaging staff
  • How to set a benefits strategy
  • The expectations of prospective candidates
  • How to get the competitive edge in the recruitment process
