Education Conference 2017

Start date: March 14, 2017 9.00am

Where is the education sector heading? If 2016 taught us anything, it’s that plenty of change is likely to be on the cards. Brexit was a big shock and there are concerns that fewer EU students will come to study in the UK. The Government’s U-turn over forcing all state schools to become academies was also a surprise. So what might 2017 hold?

At this year’s Kingston Smith’s Annual Schools Conference we will discuss these changes and give you an in-depth understanding of what 2017 could bring for the education sector.

Our keynote speaker is Mark Taylor, former Chair of the Independent Schools’ Bursars Association (ISBA). Mark has also held positions as Director of The Boarding Schools Association and the Independent Schools Inspectorate, where he has recently become a Compliance Inspector.

Due to popular demand there will be an update on the economic climate from Guy Ellison, Head of UK Equity Research, Investec Wealth & Investment Limited.

We want you to take away a wealth of useful information. So we’ve lined up some of our own experts to tell you about recent changes in key areas such as HR, the rules on shared parental leave and the latest developments in the minefield of Tax and VAT. There will be practical examples and we would also love the opportunity to hear about your views and particular needs.
