Growth Capital Forum

Kingston Smith and Crowdcube are hosting the Growth Capital Forum on Wednesday 16 November 2016. The Forum is an open environment for discussion and development of funding strategies for directors and shareholders of growing companies, typically with revenues of over £1 million.

The forum will focus on the various options available to technology and on-line companies interested in raising funds for growth as private growing companies in these areas in the UK raise over £1 billion of equity capital every year, according to Kingston Smith’s 2015 UK Growth Capital Review

Jonathan Keeling, Head of Partnerships at Crowdcube, the world’s leading investment crowdfunding platform, is responsible for building quality partnerships to sustainably scale the platform whilst generating significant value for both entrepreneurs and investors alike.

Amer Hasan, CEO and founder of (as seen on BBC’s Dragons’ Den and backed by O2) is on a mission to bring online cab booking to the UK’s masses. Minicabit raised £1.4 million in 2015 from investors including Rupert Hambro and Marek Gumienny of 24Haymarket.

Nick Winters, Partner and Head of Technology at Kingston Smith and mentor at Virgin Startup, provides advice to growing, often international businesses, particularly in the technology, media, telecoms and business support services sectors. Many of Nick’s clients are either venture capital backed, international or both.

Jonathan Garbett, Director at Kingston Smith Corporate Finance has been raising growth capital for private companies and advising on mergers and acquisitions activity, particularly in the hospitality and leisure sector for over 25 years. Major deals that Jonathan has initiated and advised on include Heffers Book Shops, Brands Hatch, Direct Connection, Woodpecker Cider and Brighton Pier.
