M&A during the Coronavirus crisis – what are the options for business owners?

Start date: May 27, 2020 2pm – 3pm BST

In the first of our two-part webinar series, we will discuss the impact that Coronavirus is having on M&A and what options remain open to business owners in the media and marketing service sector in the current environment.

The M&A market has been dramatically affected by the Coronavirus. However, that does not mean all M&A activity is automatically on hold until we emerge from lockdown. Well-funded acquirers, particularly those that are PE-backed, are pursuing opportunistic bolt-ons. We are likely to see mergers occurring as companies with stronger balance sheets act as safe harbours for those less able to weather the storm. MBOs and EOTs also provide alternative exit routes for shareholders.
