Managing Bad Behaviour & Difficult Conversations – RCSLT, London
This one-day training course is suitable for anyone who manages people or who wants to know more about the tools and techniques to tackle negative behaviour in individuals or teams including how to approach the difficult conversation to start change occurring.
Disruptive bad behaviour has a significant negative impact on business not limited to the loss of time for managers and employees, loss of engagement and a resulting reduction in productivity and increase in turnover.
Many of these disruptive behaviours start innocently enough but escalate over time. This course will provide tools and techniques to recognise potential issues before they develop and to address them positively. It will also consider how to utilise these techniques to tackle an issue which has already started to have a significant negative impact on a business.
The training will be led by a qualified and experienced HR Consultant, who will also be able to answer questions relating to specific “real-life” situations. There will be opportunities to practice responding to scenarios so as to put new skills and knowledge into practice and to get feedback.
To ensure that you feel confident putting your new skills into practice, we also offer a 30 minute complimentary telephone follow-up session with one of our Consultants, to guide you on a particular process that you are working on back in the workplace.
Topics to be covered will include:
- Defining and recognising bad behaviour
- Approaches to tackling issues – starting the difficult conversation
- Tools and techniques to address change
- Ensuring better behaviour sticks – following up correctly
- Managing resistance to change
