Peter Drucker said “Culture eats strategy for breakfast.” It plays a vital part in getting your business to excel, particularly so in a creative business. Culture comes from the top, so getting leadership right is extremely important.

Clients are the lifeblood of a creative business. Finding and working with the right clients in the right way is an essential part of delivering growth and profit. Having the right profile and business proposition, a rigorous approach to client selection and a proactive and effective marketing and new business function will deliver strong growth and a high company value.

This half day workshop looks at how to prepare yourself before embarking upon a sale, covering:

  • The market and key points from previous workshops
    Nicola Horton of Kingston Smith will cover what is happening in the market and key points covered in our two previous workshops.
  • Leadership – The culture of the agency and the senior team
    Mark Slattery of Kingston Smith will look at the business & the internal team, covering:
    How to create the right behaviour to deliver the right results, how the right culture and leadership links to success and identifying the point in a business cycle where the right leader is no longer right
  • New business and how to choose clients carefully
    Mandy Merron of Kingston Smith will look at how to choose clients carefully.
    Chris Kemp of Ingenuity will then talk about how to generate the new business that you actually want.
  • Agency positioning
    Lesley Wilson of gigCMO will look at the strategic positioning of your agency to make it stand out.
  • Financial tracking and measurement
    Mandy Merron will also look at what ‘good’ looks like for a creative business and making sure the financial results show your business to best advantage.
