Starting school is exciting for any child; meeting new friends and fantasising about what they want to be when they grow up is common in every child.
Receiving pocket money is also something new and a great way to teach children some responsibility – that’s if they don’t get in to the habit of spending all their money in the local sweet shop. But they can’t be expected to take on too much; that’s the job of the adults.
You can start things off by opening a savings account if they don’t already have one such as a Junior ISA and use it to fund their higher education; maybe even buy them a car or even a deposit for a house. The list is endless but time flies by and all these will come around sooner than you think.
With more children leaning on their parents and grandparents for a helping hand it’s never too early to think about funding for their future.
