Companies House ID verification – introducing our new ID verification partner
On 18 November 2025, Companies House introduced certain mandatory identify verification (IDV) checks for directors, LLP members and persons of significant control. Individuals can either complete these IDV checks themselves by logging on to the Companies House portal or have their identity verified by a professional authorised corporate service provider.
We encourage you to complete the Companies House IDV process yourself (it is free to use and takes approximately 15 to 20 minutes). However, if you prefer to have IDV completed on your behalf, we are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Cogency Global to provide Companies House IDV services to our clients.
