David Smithson joins Moore Kingston Smith as restructuring and insolvency partner
We have appointed David Smithson as a restructuring and insolvency partner, expanding the support we offer businesses primarily across the South, as well as in London, as they navigate financial pressure and uncertainty.
David has 37 years’ experience in the profession, including 22 years as a licensed insolvency practitioner. He specialises in corporate insolvency, business advisory, funding and restructuring, advising on insolvency appointments, refinancing and turnaround situations.
He works primarily with SMEs and owner-managed businesses across hospitality and leisure, construction, transport, care and the charity sector. Working with colleagues across our southern offices, he will help develop new and existing client relationships and support the continued growth of our restructuring and insolvency practice in the region.
Known for his open, hands-on approach, David works closely with directors, lenders and other stakeholders. He often spends time on site to understand how a business operates and the challenges it faces before helping decision-makers assess their options.
