Finance Leaders’ Forum: Growth during uncertain times workshop
Over half of CFOs say that the level of uncertainty facing their business is high or very high. But despite this, three-quarters expect revenues to rise over the next year. Our latest Finance Leaders’ Forum took the form of a workshop using a strategic growth tool to enable attendees to analyse the competitive advantage of a particular market, product or service, depending on their business.
All attendees were given a strategic growth workbook to score their chosen market against a set of criteria to identify whether this was an area to invest in for growth. We received some fantastic feedback during the session, with many attendees having that lightbulb moment of realising which area was ideal for growth for their business.
An example of the tool in use:
A professional services firm was seeking to make its first foray into an overseas market but wasn’t sure whether to target the US or the UAE (United Arab Emirates). The firm used the tool to help assess the attractiveness of both markets (and its domestic UK market) before deciding which one to prioritise.
