High Court rules Parliament must vote on triggering Article 50: the tip of the iceberg?

“The Supreme Court’s announcement that Parliament must vote on triggering on Article 50 serves to illustrate that the entire Brexit process is bound to get bogged down in legal issues,” comments Kingston Smith partner, Paul Samrah, “so this is really just the tip of the iceberg. Today’s decision won’t ultimately change anything – unless Parliament revolts against the people! What it does show, however, is that the lawyers are likely to have a field day with all these negotiations. The complexities of it are amazing – for something that seems so straightforward, today’s judgment shows it will be anything but.”
