M&A in the Marketing and Media sectors – a review of 2019

Despite another year of political and economic uncertainty, and a continuing overall annual decline in the number of M&A transactions, Q4 of 2019 saw some improvement in confidence and an increase in deal numbers compared with the previous quarter. We had predicted a continuing slowdown owing to the combination of Brexit worries with wider global economic concerns, but in fact there was not a decline in the final quarter.
