Moore Kingston Smith advises on the acquisition of Randalls by CI Hospitality
CI Hospitality, a consortium of local investors, engaged Moore Kingston Smith Corporate Finance to advise on the acquisition of Randalls, the Guernsey-based hospitality group.
Ravenscroft Capital, a channel island-based investment services group which established CI Hospitality and brought together the investor consortium, led the acquisition.
Randalls, founded in 1868 in St. Peter Port, Guernsey, is a brewer and hospitality group owning and operating over 20 pubs, restaurants, hotels and shops across Guernsey, Alderney and Sark.
Family owned until 2006, the acquisition marks only the second change of ownership in its long history and ensures that Randalls remains under local ownership, preserving its legacy.
Moore Kingston Smith Corporate Finance provided financial due diligence, an end-to-end comprehensive financial analysis to ensure the viability and profitability of the acquisition. The team also provided advisory services supporting Ravenscroft with negotiation of the financial terms.
The team was led by Charlie Killingbeck, Transaction Services Director, and Ellis Henderson, Assistant Manager.
Brian O’Mahoney, Managing Director at Ravenscroft commented: “We are delighted to have concluded the acquisition of Randalls, and have been very impressed with Moore Kingston Smith Corporate Finance. With thanks to the team for all their help on this project, I am very grateful for all the guidance and hard work.”
Charlie Killingbeck, Transaction Services Director at Moore Kingston Smith, concluded: “It has been a pleasure to support Brian and his team at Ravenscroft to deliver this transaction. We are thrilled to see Randalls secure local ownership and wish them all the best as they continue building on the group’s legacy.”
