Moore Kingston Smith advises Priory on Victoria House acquisition

Moore Kingston Smith has advised Priory, the UK’s largest independent provider of mental health and adult social care services, on their acquisition of Victoria House, a residential care provider for people with serious brain injuries.

Priory is part of MEDIAN Group, a Waterland-backed provider of mental health, specialist care and rehabilitation services across Europe. MEDIAN Group employs 31,000 people and supports 319,000 patients and residents annually with 400 sites located across Germany, the UK and Spain.

Victoria House in Farnborough, Hampshire has a dedicated multi-disciplinary team of over 50 staff members providing residential rehabilitation and neurological care for adults with long-term conditions and acquired brain injury (ABI).

Victoria House’s services complement Priory’s existing portfolio strengthening the organisation’s commitment to delivering high-quality care, and builds on Priory’s long-standing expertise.

Moore Kingston Smith worked alongside the Priory and MEDIAN Group team providing financial and tax due diligence, and advisory services.

The team comprised Mike Orton, Corporate Finance Partner, Charlie Killingbeck, Transactions Services Director, and Dan Morawiecki, Assistant Manager. Tom Acland, Tax Director, and Sam Talbot, Tax Manager, provided M&A tax services and advice throughout the transaction.
