Moore Kingston Smith awarded silver in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index

Moore Kingston Smith is pleased to announce that the firm has been awarded silver in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index 2019-2020. The index is a benchmark of best policy and practice.

A silver award means the firm is making demonstrable achievements in promoting the mental health of its staff, taking action across key areas and establishing impact. Having received a bronze award last year, the top 20 accountancy and business advisory firm has worked hard to implement new wellbeing and mental health initiatives, including signing the Time to Change Pledge, creating a fresher and more modern wellbeing policy and launching its wellbeing team.

Paul Samrah, Partner at Moore Kingston Smith and chair of the wellbeing team, said: “We are proud to be awarded silver in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index. As part of Moore Kingston Smith’s long-term commitment to supporting the mental wellbeing of our people, we have been actively working to embed a positive culture of health and wellbeing throughout our business. Before lockdown, we had trained up 14 in-house mental health first aiders, created a wellbeing section on our intranet and developed our staff wellbeing survey further still. For Mental Health Awareness Week this week (18-22 May), we have got a whole programme of virtual activities lined up for staff to join in.”

Emma Mamo, Head of Workplace Wellbeing at Mind, said: “Every employer depends on having a healthy and productive workforce – valued and supported employees are far more likely to deliver the best outcomes for your organisation. That’s why we’re delighted to recognise and celebrate employers making mental health a priority for their organisation through our Workplace Wellbeing Awards.”
