Moore Kingston Smith partner with Dunhill Medical Trust to fund expert support in impact, fundraising strategy and financial sustainability for charities working with older people.

We are delighted to announce a new programme, which will be delivered in partnership with Dunhill Medical Trust. Styled as a capability development scheme, our Fundraising & Management team will provide specialist support in a range of specific areas to community-based organisations.

Following on from the pandemic, community organisations will need to focus on key aims and demonstrate to commissioners, funders and other stakeholders the impact of their work in the communities they serve. Part of understanding impact requires consideration of financial sustainability, understanding the full cost of delivering services and ensuring in the longer-term that a clear and achievable fundraising strategy is in place.

Our team of specialist advisers is well placed to offer transformative support to organisations emerging from the pandemic into a new era that will see the re-positioning of charitable services. This is a great opportunity for charities to access bespoke support, funded by the Dunhill Medical Trust. Part of the programme is designed to provide a diagnostic overview of the priorities for applicant organisations and this, coupled with any existing available internal needs analysis, will form the basis of a specially designed support package.

To apply, you must be a community organisation (any third sector organisation) with a local and/or community focus providing services and support to older people. This is defined as work with people over 60 and your work must be predominantly with this age group – at least 75%.

We will offer:

  • bespoke and specialist support following diagnosis of the main organisational requirement
  • access to a team of specialists in key distinct skills areas, and
  • a mentoring process with a clear, bespoke action plan and any additional recommendations.

Applications open on 14 July 2021 and can be made through the Dunhill Medical Trust’s online application system Dunhill Medical Trust Grant Portal.

The deadline for applications is 20 September 2021, with shortlisting and successful applications announced by the end of September. We expect that around eight organisations will receive specialist support.

For further information on this great opportunity please contact Karl or Mark directly.
