Webinar recording: What North American companies should expect for UK business growth in 2021

In this webinar, we discussed the latest findings from our recent UK-North America investment report. We were delighted to have been joined by Iain Wright, Director for Business and Industrial Strategy at the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, who presented on the findings from the latest official UK Business Confidence Monitor.

Here are some key takeaways from the polling questions answered by our participants on North American investment in to the UK in 2021:

• ‘Growth opportunities outside of domestic market’ was the most popular opportunity participants thought would attract North American investors to the UK in 2021.
• 81% of participants thought that North American investment in to the UK would grow in 2021 over 2020 with only 19% thinking it was ‘unlikely’ or they were ‘unsure’.
• The biggest challenges attracting North American investors to the UK in 2021 is thought to be ‘changes in regulation’ and ‘prioritising domestic market’, with 38% of participants choosing each.
