Colin Turnbull

With over 20 years’ experience in audit, Colin Turnbull is well versed in reporting under multiple accounting frameworks including IFRS, US and UK GAAP and listed reporting requirements, and is proficient in due diligence assignments. He works closely with AIM-listed groups, multinational operations, owner-managed businesses, large corporates, and SMEs, providing technical advice and accounting support on a wide range of matters.

Having spent much of his career focussed on the natural resources sector, Colin has also worked across healthcare, property development, professional services, motor dealerships, and manufacturing. This cross-sector exposure gives him a broad perspective into the opportunities and challenges businesses are facing today, which informs the recommendations he makes to his clients.

Gaining a holistic view of his clients, understanding their objectives and operations in depth to build a deep understanding of their organisations is important to Colin, and he uses this to foresee opportunities and challenges that he can provide practical solutions for. Clients appreciate his proactive, pragmatic approach, and his ability to talk through complex ideas in a simple manner.

Having trained with PKF UK, Colin moved to BDO through a merger and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW).
