Ian Rixon

As the firm’s Finance Director, Ian has more than three decades of deep financial, operational and strategic leadership experience, amassed across practice, public sector and commerce. His technical foundation in statutory audit, management accounting, and implementing and developing new accounting systems has equipped him with expertise in financial controls, systems transformation and high‑quality financial reporting.

As the firm has grown, Ian has played a central role in building and overseeing the finance function, now comprising management accountants, senior financial accountants and a wider team of around 30. His remit spans consolidated group accounts, management accounts, banking relationships, insurance portfolios, supplier management, ICAEW regulatory reporting, industry benchmarking, partner profit shares, LLP and group taxation, and integrating new business acquisitions into day‑to‑day operations.

Ian is instrumental in linking financial insight with operational reality. As gatekeeper for the firm’s ERP and financial processing systems, he ensures robust systems governance and continuous development of the firm’s financial technology environment.

In addition to his financial leadership, Ian is heavily involved in the firm’s sustainability strategy and reporting. He plays an active role in the firm’s sustainability committee, contributing to the firm’s environmental commitments and the evolution of its carbon reporting framework.
