Janice Riches

Janice Riches was raised in an entrepreneurial environment and as a result has a unique understanding of the day-to-day commercial issues that growing businesses face. She works in partnership with her clients to offer practical solutions, showing a genuine interest in their business affairs and acting as a sounding board when required.

Janice likes to get involved in every aspect of what her clients need and be seen as part of the team. Her accessible approach, can-do attitude and ability to explain complex commercial matters in an unintimidating way means she is often called on to advise clients on a variety of issues such as succession, growth, restructuring and building value.

Janice works primarily with owner-manager businesses, from start-ups to medium sized firms, across a variety of business sectors including estate agents, professional services, training and pension funds, of which she has specialist experience. Her almost 30 years of partner experience and various roles held in the firm have allowed her to build up her in-depth financial and commercial knowledge, particularly around trade associations. She has an intimate understanding of the ‘idiosyncrasies’ of the three way relationship between governance, executive roles and members, as well as having specialist working knowledge of specific tax and VAT issues that only apply to this type of organisation. Janice is also a member of Moore Kingston Smith’s Governance Board.

In her spare time Janice is extremely active and enjoys yacht racing, skiing, walking and travelling to new destinations.
