Maureen is a consultant with Moore Kingston Smith, having been Managing Partner from January 2016 to April 2024. With a global mindset and vision for growth, her broad knowledge of the firm and its market follows over 30 years’ experience as a partner.
Maureen’s passion lies with people – and at the heart of her approach is a deep understanding that people are at the core of every business. People come first – and at Moore Kingston Smith, it is all about nurturing relationships to ensure that clients and colleagues alike are equipped to achieve their potential and meet their aspirations.
In 2019 Maureen steered the integration of the firm into the Moore Global network, allowing Moore Kingston Smith to better support clients in their international growth objectives. As a result, the firm offers a fully integrated global service to its clients, as well as having increased collegiate connections and collaboration with its member firms worldwide.
As a chartered accountant and audit practitioner with over 30 years’ experience in advising entrepreneurial businesses, she has guided owner-managers through all stages of development; from start-up to growth, through crisis management and on to their ultimate sale, or passing down to the next generation. Maureen has afforded her clients significant insight into their long-term goals and ambitions at a strategic level, with advice tailored to support their personal and lifestyle aims, as well as their business development aspirations.
Maureen has been at the forefront of encouraging open conversations regarding mental health and wellbeing at Moore Kingston Smith; ensuring support is available to everyone. As a result, many clients have gone on to replicate similar programmes within their own organisations. The firm’s focus on wellbeing was formally recognised when it was awarded Silver in Mind’s Workplace Wellbeing Index. The BBC also featured some of the initiatives Maureen implemented to keep the firm’s people socially connected to support their wellbeing during the pandemic.
The wider community sits close to Maureen’s heart; and Moore Kingston Smith has a long-standing history of giving back. By supporting and providing guidance to local people, businesses and charities, the firm helps to empower communities and pave the way to success for future generations.
In her spare time, Maureen is a school governor and a director of West London Business. To relax, Maureen enjoys time with her family here in the UK and the US.
