Mike Scoltock

Mike Scoltock is well-known for his practical approach and innovative resolutions to complex issues. With over 30 years’ experience in commercial tax, he is well-placed to advise on a wide variety of matters.

Mike is frequently consulted by other practices on technical issues. He continues to advise on both UK and overseas expatriate tax matters, covering all of personal, business and capital taxes matters, and brings his planning experience to bear, in particular on internationally mobile expats and associated share, options, and benefits matters and on the application of double tax treaties.

He has a particular expertise in valuation, and also advises on mergers and acquisitions, on residence and domicile, and on trust matters.

Mike is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) and a Trust and Estate practitioner (STEP). Mike is an associate of the Society of Share and Business Valuers, a member of the Valuation Group at ICAEW, an associate member of the Academy of Experts, and a member of Fiscal Forum.

Mike is a bridge Grandmaster and has represented his county in Tournament Bridge for many years. He is also a passionate supporter and match reporter for his local rugby club.
