Richard Sved

Co-author of DSC’s Fundraising Strategy (published Nov 2021), Richard Sved is an experienced professional with a strong track record of strategic and operational excellence, specialising in fundraising, governance, and organisational strategy development. He has led the fundraising efforts of eleven national charities and advised a wide range of other charities on their fundraising strategy development, as well as their organisational strategy and governance.

Richard has a strong and recent track record of advising charities on their fundraising strategy, both in-house (working with organisations such as Forward Trust, Changing Faces, and NPC) and as a consultant (working with Badger Trust, IET, Purcell School, Royal Academy, Moorfields Eye Charity, and NSPCC). A serial trustee for over a decade, Richard is also a dedicated volunteer in Hertfordshire, organising a local sporting and community event as the Co-Event Director at St Albans parkrun, serving as chair of trustees (and tenor horn player) for St Albans City Band, and co-organising The Funding Network in Hertfordshire, which has crowdfunded over £70,000 for small Hertfordshire charities.
