Sophie Lord

Sophie is an experienced executive development and people strategy leader. She has a rich background spanning professional services, consultancy and legal sectors. Sophie enables high-impact learning, leadership excellence and holistic wellbeing across all levels of an organisation.

One of Sophie’s main areas of expertise is executive and leadership development. She designs and leads development strategies for senior leadership, including partners, directors and individuals transitioning into executive roles. This includes leadership integration, succession planning and executive wellbeing.

Promoting a culture of wellbeing is important to Sophie. As well as being founding lead of the firm’s wellbeing committee, Sophie also spearheaded the introduction of mental health first aiders and wellbeing champions. These initiatives embed a proactive wellbeing culture at leadership level and throughout the firm.

Sophie’s experience as an executive coach and practitioner-level expertise in MBTI (Step I & II) and Insights Discovery psychometrics sees her supporting leaders through periods of change, growth and transition.

On the people development front, she was instrumental in instituting an integrated people model that aligns learning, early talent, HR, recruitment and resourcing, and analytics into a cohesive employee experience. Her early careers programmes comprise dedicated support structures for graduates and school leavers, ensuring clear development pathways into the business.

Before Moore Kingston Smith, Sophie held learning and development leadership roles at well-known professional services firms and delivered international learning programmes and knowledge-sharing initiatives across Europe

Sophie holds a Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching, an MA in Human Resource Development and a First-Class BA (Hons) in Business Management & IT.
