St Albans Business Women's Group

We took networking to a whole new level with an exhilarating axe and knife throwing event at Apollo Activities! It was fantastic to see so many women come together to connect, laugh and try something completely different. Huge thanks to the team at Apollo for hosting us and keeping us safe while we unleashed our inner warriors.

Spring arrived and found us at the beautiful setting of St Michael’s Manor Hotel, St Albans, for Champagne Afternoon Tea. The sandwiches, cakes and scones were amazing, not to mention the glass of bubbly.

We began the festive season by enjoying a three course meal at Alban’s Well, with conversations around holiday preparations and reflections on the past year, as well as catching up with some familiar and new faces.

As last year’s event was such a success, we ran it again and had a really good turnout. Creations from jugs to mugs were made as well as new business connections!

We were delighted to welcome Kayley from the Watford Women’s Centre as our speaker. She shared the great work that the centre does to support, educate and empower women who suffer domestic abuse. It was a very insightful talk.

We got together for a bit of crafting while making new business connections. This workshop, ran by Caroline of Rock n Wool Creations, was a great introduction to alcohol inks. We all surprised ourselves and made some really stunning images. It was followed by a sandwich lunch and a chance to exchange contact details!
