Dan Leaman
A corporate finance specialist with over eleven years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, Dan Leaman acts as lead adviser to a range of clients consulting on strategy, sales of businesses and the fundraising of debt and equity. His specialisms include providing strategic advice to owners preparing for sale, as well as working alongside businesses to design and implement successful turnaround and restructuring strategies.
In addition to his M&A experience, Dan spent nine years as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of marketing services and manufacturing SMEs, both privately owned and PE-backed. This first-hand sector knowledge enables Dan to advise clients from a unique perspective; he knows what it is like to run a business and is able to predict what buyers will consider when making an acquisition, as well as the crucial matters for a successful integration post-transaction.
He always develops a thorough understanding of his clients’ aspirations and their business’ people, culture, operations, value proposition, client base and USPs. This informs his strategies as he works collaboratively with his clients to deliver their goals and maximise shareholder returns.
Dan is well-versed in preparing pre-lending reviews for funders and due diligence for buyers, which is complemented by his expansive involvement across other entrepreneurial businesses including food, education, professional services and facility management transactions.
A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales, Dan’s expertise has seen him welcomed by the DBA and BIMA as a guest speaker on webinar topics such as cashflow management for success.
