Dan acts as lead adviser to a range of clients on strategy, acquisitions, disposals, restructuring, turnarounds and management buyouts as well as the fundraising of both debt and equity. He has over ten years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions, and eight years under his belt as both Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of marketing services and manufacturing SMEs, both privately owned and PE-backed.
He always starts by developing a thorough understanding of his clients’ aspirations and their business’ culture, value proposition, client base, USPs, operations and people. From this, he develops strategies to work with his clients collaboratively to deliver their goals and maximise shareholder returns.
Dan’s first-hand sector knowledge allows him to advise clients from a unique perspective. He knows what it is like to run an agency and is well-equipped to predict what buyers will consider when making an acquisition and the issues that are important for a successful integration post-transaction.
Dan also has an extensive background in public company work for AIM-listed clients. He has acted as reporting accountant for initial public offerings, reverse takeovers and significant acquisitions. Additionally, he is well-versed in preparing pre-lending reviews for funders and due diligence for buyers. This is complemented by his expansive involvement across other entrepreneurial businesses including food, education, professional services and facility management transactions.
Dan is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales.
Outside of work, Dan enjoys supporting his children’s football and rugby teams, going on family holidays and relaxing with friends around a barbeque.
