Ian Robert believes that working successfully in corporate recovery and insolvency is all about trust and approachability. As Head of Business Recovery and an insolvency partner, Ian meets people at a difficult stage in their life. He believes in straight-talking, but also in being flexible and adaptable. His clients appreciate Ian’s expert technical knowledge, his thoughtful attitude and his timely, professional advice.

Ian works with many SME clients, and with individuals as well as companies and not-for-profit organisations. During his career in corporate recovery and personal insolvency, which has spanned more than 30 years, he has worked across a wide range of sectors and different types of businesses ranging from marketing services companies to recruitment agencies and from beauty salons to men’s tailoring.

Ian began his insolvency career at a large national accountancy firm. He gained his insolvency licence in 1995 and joined Moore Kingston Smith in August 2001. He is a licensed insolvency practitioner and a fellow of both the ICAEW and R3, the Association of Business Recovery Professionals.

Outside work, Ian enjoys playing golf as well as cooking, and is a dedicated and hopelessly enthusiastic supporter of Reading FC!
