Jonathan Aikens
Jonathan Aikens is a partner in the firm’s nonprofit team. As an experienced partner with strong technical knowledge, he provides clients with audit services as well as advice on technical, accounting, governance and strategic issues.
Jonathan has worked with a broad range of organisations across the sector and holds particular specialisms in working with membership organisations, independent schools, grant makers and faith-based organisations.
Outside his role at Moore Kingston Smith, Jonathan sits on the executive board of the Charity Law Association. This ensures he keeps abreast of changes in regulation while also providing him with direct contact to the Charity Commission and Fundraising Regulator.
Clients appreciate that, in working with Jonathan, they have a trusted, hands-on adviser supporting them to reach their objectives. Jonathan’s practical approach and technical ability complements the organisations he works with by allowing their people to focus on what they’re passionate about, while his commercial experience supports their business goals.
Jonathan’s field expertise and passion for the sector has seen him invited to present on charity matters and write for Civil Society’s respected annual publication, the Charity Finance Year Book.
FCA-qualified, Jonathan holds the ICAEW diploma in charity accounting.
