Moore Kingston Smith is pleased to announce Clare Copeman is joining its general practice team as a partner, effective 5 September 2022.

Bringing over twenty years’ audit and business advisory experience to professional firms and mid-sized corporate businesses, Clare has particular expertise in working with law firms and recruitment agencies. She is adept at guiding numerous businesses through business acquisitions, reconstructions, including LLP conversions, and issues impacting equity between partners. Clare covers both technical and business aspects with solid knowledge of SRA Accounts rules, IFRS and UK GAAP, including the LLP SORP.

With a long career working with international businesses, Clare is familiar with the nuances of working with global groups. This is an advantage to her clients, who she guides through regulatory requirements of international group audits to the complexities of profit sharing with differing accounting rules across jurisdictions.

Clare said of her new position: “It’s an exciting time to join Moore Kingston Smith. I look forward to bringing my own experience with professional firms and mid-sized corporate businesses, and my commitment to giving my clients the best possible service, to a practice that shares this commitment and is so highly regarded in the market sectors I serve.”

Maureen Penfold, Managing Partner of Moore Kingston Smith, says: “It’s a pleasure to welcome Clare to the firm. Her appointment further bolsters our professional firms team, building on the growth and success we’ve achieved over the last several years. Her depth of skill and experience will both complement the strengths of our team and benefit our clients exceptionally.”
