On 1 May, we celebrate Matt Meadows officially stepping into his role as Managing Partner, while bidding a fond farewell to his predecessor Maureen Penfold and esteemed partners Paul Samrah and Parveen Chadda.

Matt, who has been with the firm for over 25 years and a member of the Senior Leadership Team, will focus on further nurturing a working environment in which people can enjoy their work, learn and grow, while delivering quality and excellence for the firm’s clients.

Matt played a leading role in securing the firm’s external investment from European private equity firm Waterland, making Moore Kingston Smith the UK’s first major accountancy firm to receive PE funding while retaining its limited liability partnership status. He was also a key player in the acquisition of leading Irish firm Moore, enhancing the firm’s global presence and further supporting its growing client base with international interests.

Maureen Penfold’s retirement follows over 42 years at the firm, with more than 30 of those as a partner. Since 2016, in her eight years as Managing Partner, she’s steered Moore Kingston Smith into a leading challenger firm, overseen its integration into the Moore Global network and guided its people and clients through the pandemic.

Paul Samrah also marks nearly 43 years with the firm. Based at the Redhill office, he was the Brexit impact specialist and led the healthcare sector. As well as heading up the Wellbeing Committee, he chaired the Charity Committee and launched the Moore Kingston Smith Community Foundation in 2021.

Also based at Redhill, Parveen Chadda joined Moore Kingston Smith in 1977. He headed up the firm’s dedicated India desk as well as Outsourcing, and is a Director of joint venture company in India, KS Arcis Outsourcing Private Limited.

Celebrating this exciting new chapter with Matt at the helm, the firm applauds Maureen’s, Paul’s and Parveen’s contributions which have shaped Moore Kingston Smith as you see it today. We wish them all the best in their retirement.
