Moore Global recently hosted the inaugural Moore Media and Creativity Summit. With a focus on ESG in the film, TV and commercials sector, our panel chair Jason Stone (Editor, David Reviews) was joined by Steve Davies (Chief Executive, APA), Kerstin Emhoff (Co-founder & CEO, PRETTYBIRD), Mike Figgis (Film Director, Writer, Photographer and Composer, Red Mullet) and Sophie Gold (Founder & Executive Producer, Eleanor).

Here they discussed the failures in the bid process, often characterised by a vicious circle of the inability of those of diverse backgrounds to secure jobs on the basis of their reduced track record, despite reaching creative highs. The conversation draws thought-provoking insights into the industry as it currently stands, looking at ways that inclusion can become second nature to the industry. Charting the history behind the industry’s lack of diversity and reviewing digital disruption, the rise of VOD platforms and movements such as #MeToo, this discussion presents a fascinating take on why the sector is experiencing a crisis in identity and how this can be turned around.
