Ian has spent his career advising media businesses through all aspects of their life cycle. He is known for his relaxed style and when clients approach him with a problem, he knows what typically works and what the pitfalls are likely to be, which means that his advice is concise, focused and effective.
Ian works exclusively with independent media businesses and individuals working in the media sector, and everything he does is aimed towards giving these companies and their owners the best possible advice. Most of his clients are either marketing services businesses or commercial production and post production companies. His clients range in size, from the not-yet-started to substantial multi-national groups.
Ian works with his clients on a wide range of services including audit, tax, personal tax, start-up advice, employee incentives and retention (including equity incentives), company and share valuations, international expansion, mergers and acquisitions, pre-sale planning and selling a company.
Ian joined Moore Kingston Smith in September 2002 as a trainee and qualified as a chartered accountant in 2005. He is treasurer of the Branded Content Marketing Association and co-edits our Financial Performance of Marketing Services survey. He has been named as one of Accountancy Age’s top 35 accountants under the age of 35.
