You’ve probably heard of accountancy and advisory services before. But do you know what professionals in this field do? Find out about this programme and kickstart your career in accountancy, which is brought exclusively to you in collaboration with Springpod, Moore Kingston Smith and the Girls’ Schools Association (GSA).

Explore your options with a leading UK multidisciplinary professional services firm and learn about Moore Kingston Smith’s multiple sectors, the skills you’ll need to succeed and what it’s like to be a woman in the sector.

What’s included in the programme?

Accountancy, advisory services and beyond! You’ll get hands-on experience, undertaking a series of quizzes and activities through six modules. Complete with virtual webinars, this programme will help build your understanding of Moore Kingston Smith and the role they could play in your future!

Access all the content and activities between the 1 and 31 July, and because it’s on-demand, you can complete them at your own pace from anywhere, so there is no pressure!

The modules you will need to complete are:

  • Introduction to Moore Kingston Smith, accountancy and advisory services
  • Accountancy
  • Advisory services
  • Audits
  • Tax
  • Employability skills

Please note that by completing 100% of the programme you will earn a completion certificate from Springpod, and by completing 70% of the content you will get your work marked and gain some valuable feedback.

Who is the programme for, and what will you gain from it?

This programme is primarily aimed at Girls’ Schools Association Year 12 students, but Year 11 students are very welcome to apply. Participating will give you valuable knowledge and understanding of the accountancy and advisory services sector and will help you develop skills that will benefit your future career. Those of you who perform well will have opportunities for further engagement with Moore Kingston Smith.

Additionally, the programme provides information about the value of apprenticeships and is an excellent way to gain experience and knowledge that will enhance your UCAS applications.

How do you apply, and what are the timescales?

  • 24 June 2024 registration closes
  • Between 1 July to 31 July 2024 all 6 modules will be available for you to complete
  • August 2024 all completed modules will be marked
  • September 2024 presentation ceremony at Moore Kingston Smith, City office (date tbc)
